A Hackathon is a design sprint-like event, where programmers, designers, students, developers, and others create solutions for specific challenges in a short period of time.
The World Port Hackathon is a 24-hour event specifically focused on the port industry. Rising technologies, open data, big data, and IoT are used to solve real port challenges. It is up to you to take a nap during those 24 hours, or even go home for a shower.
This pressure cooker format often brings the most brilliant ideas to the table. During the event, we provide the right ‘scene’, including food, drinks, data, knowledge, technology, great companies, and of course, amazing energy!
Make it happen!
Envision and create; that’s what we do at the World Port Hackathon. A combination of the right energy, knowledge, environment, data, challenges, and so on, stimulates the creative mindset of people thereby resulting in ‘out-of-the-box’ innovative solutions. Or perhaps better said, we shape the boundaries of what’s possible within ‘the box’.
You will be inspired by what is possible. It is the whole event experience that fosters innovation in envisioning the future of ports.
